Merk Chemists is a full service community pharmacy conveniently located on McLean Avenue (at the corner of Martha Avenue) in Yonkers. Merk Chemists has been family owned and operated for over a century. Pharmacist Herman Merk founded Merk Chemists in 1896. Mr. Merk owned and operated the pharmacy until he retired to Florida in 1958. Today, it is the oldest pharmacy in Westchester County, third oldest in New York, and a landmark of the South East Yonkers landscape.
